Connect any IMAP and SMTP mailbox
Pick your provider from the list (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, 20i, IONOS, Fasthosts, OVH or a cPanel host) and the server settings are filled in for you. For anything else, enter the settings your provider gives you.
Tested before it is saved
Orbis Mail checks the incoming and outgoing connection before a mailbox is added, so you know straight away whether the password and settings are right, not when an important reply fails to send.
Credentials encrypted at rest
Mailbox passwords are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored and are only decrypted when Orbis Mail connects to your mail server on your behalf.
Frequently asked questions
- How many mailboxes can I connect?
- Starter covers a single mailbox. Business and Enterprise plans support several mailboxes per user and per organisation. Limits are agreed with each organisation.
- Can different people share the same mailbox?
- Each user connects the mailboxes they are allowed to use. For a shared address such as info@, several team members can connect it with the credentials your administrator provides.
- What if my provider is not in the list?
- Choose Custom and enter the IMAP and SMTP server names and ports from your provider. Almost every business email service supports them.
